Course Description:

RATIONALE

This module seeks to develop the students’ knowledge, understanding and programming abilities regarding data structures and algorithms, which are fundamental to building software. It also provides an opportunity for students to learn and program in other programming paradigms.

AIMS

The aims of the module are:

1. To develop knowledge, understanding and skills in the use, design, and implementation of data structures and algorithms

2. To develop knowledge, understanding and skills in other programming paradigms

LEARNING OUTCOMES

On successful completion of this module, a student will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate proficiency in their knowledge and understanding of data structures and algorithms
  2. Demonstrate proficiency in their knowledge and understanding of additional programming paradigms
  3. Demonstrate ability to code in other programming paradigms
